Hello! It's been awhile, but I thought I'd update this thing. All my portfolio stuff is done and out of the way, and everything seemed to go well at the schools, though I'm still waiting to hear back from them. I should know what's going on by the end of March.
But in the meantime, as I slog through my various commissions, I've been making plans for the upcoming Artwalk this summer, since this year they're requesting more original art be sold than prints, so I have to make some more of that. One of my ideas is to make a whole bunch of different wind-up birds like
this one except with different kinds of birds. So I was wondering if anyone around here might have any suggestions as to what kind of birds they might be interested in seeing me do! I'll be sticking to smaller birds, nothing much larger than a pigeon, since I feel they fit with the theme more, but I'd love to hear any suggestions!
The list so far:
-hummingbird
-quail
-partridge
-dove
-swallow
-chickadee
-stilt
-blackbird
If I had one of those poll things, I'd ask which of these people would be the most interested in, but I don't so I'll probably just go through them as I feel like it. But any help would be greatly appreciated!

As for bird suggestions I'd say an owl, like those little pygmy or burrowing owls. Otherwise a bluejay would be my next choice, though it is on the larger side.
Thanks for the suggestion!
I've missed all the artwalks so far but this year it looks like I may be lucky this year.
Is a robin suitable? Maybe a kiss-ka-dee? Haha, actually, that one is really specific so maybe not.
I love this idea/series. Will they be available online at all, as prints or something?
I figure the one I already did is so similar to a robin I might avoid those. Thanks for the suggestions!
And yeah, I'll probably be printing a bunch as that event draws closer, so I'll probably have some available through here around then sometime in July.
