I have to ask the question - how dim do you have to be to fall for it?
Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine  that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam  deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.
I know this is a no-duh for 90% of people reading it but for the sake of the rest lets revise what we all should know about online phishig. And before you go all:

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Summer art shows!

Hello! I'm so busy getting everything together for moving and commissions and such, but even moreso trying to make art for the art shows I'm participating in this summer!

First off, at the Works Art and Design Festival here in Edmonton, Notebook magazine is having a bunch of the artists previously featured in its pages display and sell their artwork, along with the magazines, so I'll be doing that on certain days from June 28th to July 5th. I don't think I'll have too much new art done in time for it, but I'll definitely have lots of prints available! It'll be somewhere in Churchill Square I'm pretty sure.

Secondly, Artwalk 2010! This will probably be the last year I'm doing the Artwalk, which is always a great time, and I'm pretty excited for it. I am trying to get a whole bunch of new work and prints made for this event, and I'll also have a lot of older prints here too as well. My booth will be set up in front of the Strathcona Hotel, and it goes from July 16th-18th, 10:00am to 5:00pm.

And as always, I'll be selling all my leftover artwork and prints online after these shows for those people who might still be interested, but unable to make it out.

So I hope to see some of you there, and hope everyone's having a great summer!
