FULLVIEW!!!!!!! THE THUMBNAIL HAS BEEN BUTCHERED!!!!
this is a gift for *shirotsuki, just for being such an awesome person and doing such an incredible job on the scarecrow king (thwarting my drawings of him in every way)...even this could not possibly match my gratitude for the goodness that is that piece, but hopefully she'll be somewhat pleased by it...
tis her character Cure, with a parrot and one of those excellent bird-like beasties (i'm an idiot and forgot what they were called...) alas, the scan killed most of the colour and it is considerably more drab than the orginal, as well as destroying the shading of the bird he's leaning on, but alas, what can be done...
Cure's colour scheme is probably very screwed up as i did it basically from memory as i lack the colour printer...but i think it ended up remotely close...and generally i'm excessively pleased with how this piece turned out...
and hopefully shirotsuki will be just as pleased...

(now to get started on some other gifts i owe people........)
I love the colours, despite whatever your scanner may have done, they look lovely. Cure's clothing looks quite spiffy (especialy those red patterns!), and that stone birdie he's leaning against is such an awesome touch. Beautiful work, I love how you drew Cure! <33
this is so awesome it makes my ears bleed. I want a candlebird thing. *pouts*

A brand new monthly article which showcases some of deviantART's finest equine artists, as well as recognizing the lesser-known but equally talented ones. Interviews, helpful tutorials and features can all be found here too! I hope you enjoy it.
The idea of this contest is to set you up completely blind with a mythical being - from any world culture - and turn you loose to come up with a deviation based around it!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

There is no such thing as being original anymore. All one can do is use the ideas already done. Found an idea never been done before? Lucky.
