An editorial illustration for class, for an article in The Stranger about suicide. I've been intrigued with the idea of using masks, the skull mask on a person and a regular mask on a skeleton, in relation to contemplating mortality. This didn't turn out quite how I wanted but I'm definitely coming back to this theme again.

Haha I think that question is still unanswerable for me, since I still struggle with it a lot. This image (and the series of images I'd like continue doing on this theme) is more about coming to terms with mortality. Maybe that might eventually lead to a better conclusion, who knows, but the unanswerable questions are usually the most interesting.
